Served Egypt 6/4/16 to 19/12/16, Salonika 19/12/16 to 11/12/18. 20/1/17 attached to MMP, 20/10/17 Transferred to MMP. Suffered from chronic malaria which started in November 17 due to malarial conditions in Salonika. Suffered from a chest weakness due to pneumonia contracted in Bulgaria. He had several Malarial attacks in Rhodesia during years 1911 to 1915 but attack never lasted more than a couple of days. No Middle East Service shown on medal roll. 14/1/1919 a letter in his record from the Bank of England states that he has £526-06-03 £5 % War Stock. After the war he was re patriated to Feira, Rhodesia where he had worked for the African Lakes Corporation.
