Extract from Army Form B 117 found in Army Record: L/Cpl Huggett i/c Military Police canteen was taking a bottle of lemonade out of the ice chest in the Military Police Canteen when the bottle burst and cut him on the right forearm. This occurred at Abbassia on May 15th. Capt. MMP I do not consider this NCO to blame.
Extract from a Court of Enquiry held at Abbassia, Cairo on the 28/10/1908 investigating the circumstances attending the injury sustained by No. 481, Cpl, A Huggett.
1st Evidence. No. 481, Cpl A Huggett, MMP states: In the Chaleh Abbas on the 3rd inst. I was returning with a detachment of the Mounted Police from Cas El Nil Barracks from the GOC's Inspection, we were moving at a trot and on being ordered to walk my horse stumbled and threw me forward in the saddle. I immediately felt a sharp pain in the bottom of my stomach which caused we to feel very sick. I fell out and got off my horse and after a minute or so I remounted with the assistance of Cpl Savage. We then road slowly to the stables in Abbassia. On arriving at the sables I reported by accident to Squadron Sergeant Major Negerty, who told me to report sick if I felt worse. On arriving at my quarters I saw there was a small swelling at the base of my stomach. I reported sick the next morning and the medical officer fitted me with a truss.
Arthur William Huggett.

He has the same No. as L/Cpl D Weston, MFP.
