GUARDSMAN'S WEDDING.
An interesting wartime wedding at St. Lawrence's Church, Winslow, on Wednesday was that of Miss Frances Lilian Hubbocks of the Dairy Farm, Great Horwood Road, and Mr. Mockeridge now serving in the Coldstream Guards. The Vicar of Winslow the Rev. St. J H Beamish officiated and Mr. G H Thompson was at the organ. The hymns were " The voice that breathed" and "Thine forever." The bride in white and the colourful dresses of the bridesmaids created a very pretty scene.
"WEDDING MARCH" UNDER DIFFICULTIES. Before the playing of the "Wedding March," the organ blower, deputising for the occasion, became ill and the organist had to do his best to deal with the situation.
