Notes:Royal Sussex Regiment attached to Military Police. London Gazette 25314, page 488, dated 1/2/1884. The following appointments have been made on the Staff of the Army serving in Egypt. Dated 16th June 1883:- Captain George Charles Peere Williams-Freeman, the Royal Sussex Regiment, to be a Deputy Assistant-Adjutant and Quartermaster General (as Assistant Provost Marshal). He was replaced by Major and Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel J H Sandwith, Royal Marine Light Infantry to be Deputy Assistant Adjutant-General to perform the duties of Assistant Provost=Marshal in Egypt, vice Captain G C P Williams-Freeman whose period of service in that appointment has expired. Dated 25th July, 1888. London Gazette 25848, page 4514, dated 21 August 1888.
