| Citation: | MBE Citation. 732674 WOI (RSM) E R HALL CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE Intelligence and escape activities whilst a POW DDMI/P/W/BM/995As a result of his capture at St Valery on 12 June 1940 Hall spent 5 years as a POW in Stalag 344 Lamsdorf Poland (POW NO 17207). Throughout this period he did outstanding intelligence work in collecting and collating and organising the despatch of valuable information to the War Office by secret means. He carried out these duties with such efficiency that he has received highest praise from the SNCO of the camp.National Archive WO 373/100. |
