| Citation: | Military Medal Citation.Normandy LandingsThis NCO landed in Normandy on 6 June 1944 and has throughout most of the campaign been attached to 185 Infantry Brigade as NCO i/c CMP detachment. His personal courage throughout has been outstanding. He has been responsible for the routing forward and traffic control of the Brigade and has carried out his duties under the most hazardous conditions often under heavy enemy fire and through heavily mined areas. His determination, leadership and energy under these very trying conditions have been an inspiration to all who have come into contact with him.
