| Citation: | Italy. Citation for BEM: This NCO who spent 3 1/4 years abroad in the CMP, has been engaged during the last 12 months in special investigations into Black Market activities, and tracking down thieves who had been robbing mails of Christmas presents sent by troops in CMF to their relatives at home. As a result of his efforts a number of gangs were broken up and the thieving dropped. He has not spared himself in his efforts to combat sabotage of the war effort by civilians, working often 18 hours a day with only short breads for food and sleep.OC 510 Pro Coy, Brig Comd 54 Area.
