Citation: | New Year Honours. Dec. 1955 - July 1958. Discipline Warrant Officer.Citation: This Acting Warrant Officer joined the Military Provost Staff Corps in April 1946, having been a Prisoner of War in JAPAN for 3 1/2 years. He was posted to the Military Corrective Training Centre, COLCHESTER, in December 1955 and was placed in charge of the Recepiton block which deals with all admissions of soldiers under sentence. In this appointment his work was of the very highest order, No matter how difficult the man was with whom he had to deal, his patience, tact and high standard of military discipline always succeeded in obtaining the result required and ensured that all men commenced their corrective training period on the right lines, as a result of his work he was promoted Acting WOII and posted to 'B' Wing of this centre, in which all the worst characters are held. Here, he has continues his outstanding work and by example and initiative has produced excellent results. His loyalty and devotion extended far beyond the normal calls of duty and his approach to his job has always been whole-hearted, even at the expense of his private life. In his 32 years service to the Army, he has incurred no single entry on his Conduct Sheet and is the holder of the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.
