CSM Kynaston and Sgt Sheard both wounded the former dangerously. 30/4/1944 10.05 hrs. Telephone message from SC East African Base Admin HQ that Lieut Quin had died this morning. 11.40hrs APM leaves with 2 Pro Sections to Kandy to attend funeral of Lieut Quin at 15.00hrs. He was born in Glasgow and resided in Edinburgh.
