Major Anthony Clive Rawlings (64576) The Buffs, Royal East Kent Regiment.Citation: Major Rawlings became DAPM 1 Commonwealth Division in Feb 1952, During the whole time he has held the appointment he has spared no effort to ensure that discipline within the Division has been maintained to a high standard. He has been faced with many difficult situations due to the different disciplinary codes of the Commonwealth contingents. By his tactful handling and his own high standards these difficulties have been overcome. By close personal liaison he has established excellent relationships with the America authorities. This aspect has been of the greatest importance in the maintenance of discipline. Many of the Provost personnel have been young and inexperienced, but by his own determination and drive he has succeeded in moulding them into a smart and efficient company. His personal example and devotion to duty under difficult conditions has been outstanding and fully merit recognition by the appropriate reward.Recommended by AA & QMG 1 Commonwealth Division, GOC 1 Commonwealth Division, C in C British Commonwealth Forces, Korea.
