PAUL'S The marriage took place on Saturday at St. Paul's Church, Cheltenham, of Pte James Jubb only son of Mr. and Mrs. Jubb, of South Norwood, London,m and Miss Edna Maude Little, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A W Little of 4 St, Georges' Street, Cheltenham. The choral service was conducted by the Rev. Bellerby, Vicar of St. Paul's. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a gown of silver brocade with wreath and veil, and carried a shower bouquet of red carnations. She was attended by her sister Mrs. R M Webb, who wore a dress of pink taffeta with matching headdress and carried a bouquet of pink chrysanthemums. The hymns sung were "How welcome was the call," and "Praise my soul." Psalm 67 was rendered by the choir. The best man was Pte. H Longsdail, friend of the bridegroom. After the reception at the home of the bride's sister and brother -in-law, Mr and Mrs G IK Smith, the happy couple left for their honeymoon in London. |
