L/cpol George Arnold Todd, a 20 year old Shipley Service man, has died after a traffic accident while serving with the Military police in Cyprus.
He was the only son of Mr and Mrs George Todd, 50 Hirstwood Road, Shipley, and joined the Forces about 18 moths ago. he had served in Egypt and was sent to Cyprus a month ago.
L/cpl Tidd was an old boy of Saltaire Road School, Shipley and Bingley modern School. he was training as an architect at Keighley under Mr Harold Sunderland, the Craven District valuer. He was a chorister at Shipley St Petrer's Church.
