Fined after fatal accident.
A military policeman L/Cpl Alan John Holman (19) of Erninvale Drive, Finaghy, was fined £15 at Lisburn Magistrates Court yesterday on a charge of careless driving.
The court heard that a pedestrian, Mrs Josephine Murray (50) a cleaner of Brookvale Drive, Lisburn died after being struck by Holman's van at Magharalave Road, Lisburn on December 9.

Corporal Alan John Holman of the First Regiment, Royal Military Police, Aldergrove, died in Lagan Valley Hospital, Lisburn, on Sunday evening, a short time after he was admitted with gunshot wounds following a shooting accident in his house at 17 Knox road, Lisburn.
It is understood that Corporal Holman's service pistol discharge accidentally when he was working with it. His wife and a visitor were in the house at the time.
Corporal Holman who was 21 last September was a native of Ashford, Kent, and joined Her majesty's Forces at the age of 15 and served in Northern Ireland, Cyprus and Aldershot before returning to Northern Ireland.
He married Miss Norma Elizabeth Patton, formerly of Beechland Drive, Lisburn, in Lisburn Cathedral in July 1970 and they had been living in Knox Road since November.
Their son Gary Paul Holman, was born at Aldershot in January of last year.
Army representatives attended the funeral of Corporal Holman to Lisburn New Cemetery, Blaris, on Thursday afternoon following a service in the Garrison Church at Thiepval Barracks, Lisburn.
Among those taking part was the Very Rev. Richard Adams, rector of Lisburn Cathedral Parish who had married Corporal Holman and Mrs. Holman
