Mrs Margaret Murphy, who resides c/o Coyle at 82a Hazelbank Gardens, Stirling reckons her finest Christmas gift was a postcard in her husband's own handwriting. He is L/Cpl Samuel Murphy, of the Corps of Military Police and it was his first note home in two years, Early in 1942 he was serving in Malaya, and nothing was heard of him till last May, when his wife was officially informed that he was a prisoner. He worked at Manor Powis Colliery before enlisting. |
