L/Cpl T E M'Queen who was military escort to Major General Fortune, GOC 51 Highland Div), son of Mr and Mrs J M'Queen, Glen Ogilvy, Glamis reported missing on 3rd June is now reported a prisoner of war. L/Cpl M'Queen (26) was born at Streatlam near Barnard Castle where his father was employed as gamekeeper to the Earl of Strathmore. Ten years later the family moved to the Glamis estate, where his father is still gamekeeper After being educated at Forfar Academy, L/Cpl M'Queen joined his father on the game keeping staff. In June last year he joined the Corps of Military Police Territorials and was mobilised at the outbreak of war. |
