Served Home 1/10/1916 to 8/12/1919, 9/12/1919 to discharge. 25/9/1911 he married Kate Harris, Spinster, at the Parish Church Chesham, they had 2 x children. A letter in his documents dated 28/9/1919 from a Mr J R Hyde of 28 Ebor Street, Rickmansworth to the APM Northern Command (B Area, Hipswell Camp, Catterick) asking for L/Cpl Pearce's early release as on enlistment he had left his business (Bakery) in the hands of his mother who was now to old to carry on.
