A letter in his documents dated 28/9/1919 from a Mr J R Hyde of 28 Ebor Street, Rickmansworth to the APM Northern Command (B Area, Hipswell Camp, Catterick) asking for L/Cpl Pearce's early release as on enlistment he had left his business (Bakery) in the hands of his mother who was now to old to carry on.
