L/Cpl James Crozier (22), Corps of Military Police, eldest son on Mr and Mrs Sam Crozier, 27 Ellen Street, Dundee is a prisoner of war. A remarkable communication has been received by Mr and Mrs S Crozier, 27 Ellen Street, Dundee from their son Lance Corporal Jas. Crozier, Corps of Military Police who is a prisoner of war in Germany. Formerly a baker in the employment of Dundee Eastern Co-Operative Society, Ltd. L/Cpl Crozier was taken prisoner on June 11. In a letter dated June 26, which was written in France, he tells his parents that he is quite well. The envelope is packed with little scraps of paper. On each of these a fellow prisoner has written either his own name or the name of a relative making L/Cpl, Croziers letter a regular clearing house of information of prisoners of war from Dundee and district. While a prisoner in Stalag 383, Germany, Cpl James Crozier (26) of Corps of Military Police has gained the Bronze Medallion (Token) Certificate of the Royal Life Saving Society. He is the eldest son of Mr and Mrs S Crozier, 27 Ellen Street, Dundee. A Territorial, he was called up at the outbreak of war, and was taken prisoner at St Valery in June 1940. He was formerly a baker with DECS and was a member of YMCA Swimming Club. |
