Extract from the Perth Advertiser, 8/3/41. News of Son After Seven Months.
After a lapse of seven months, Mr and Mrs James Conn, 84 Atholl Street, Perth, have received news from their son, Lance Corporal Arthur Conn, Corps of Military Police who was wounded and taken prisoner at St Valery and is now convalescent at Front, Stalag 172.H Doullens, Somme, France. Lance Corporal Conn states in a post card that he is in good health and is fairly well treated, but is longing for news from home. The post card was the first communication received by Mr & Mrs Conn.
