Citation: | MBE. Major (temporary) John Gethin Morgan-Owen (87215) South Wales Borderers (Alton).Citation: Major MORGAN-OWEN has been DAA & QMG of this Bde since July 44. throughout the whole of this time he has never missed a single action in which the Bde has fought, in France, Belgium and Holland. It is entirely due to his zeal and ability and despite many problems and difficulties that the administration of the Bde has constantly been maintained at the highest level. This has only been achieved by his personal efforts which have involved long hours of work under difficult circumstances particularly during the severe winter months, when the problems of supply were many times increased. Major Morgan-OWEN'S successful administration has been largely due to his excellent powers of organisation and his ability always to find time to make personal contact with Throughout the whole campaign he has not spared himself in his efforts to do all that was possible for the general well-being of the units for which he was responsible and there is not doubt that his efforts have been highly successful.Recommended by: Brigade Commander, 146 Inf Bde, Maj Gen Commanding 49 Div, Lt Gen Commandin 1 Corps District. |
