He has two full pages on his conduct sheet for various minor misdemeanours. Served Home 28/9/1889 to 11/2/1890, Malta 12/2/1890 to 19/12/1893, Home 20/12/1893 to 30/3/1903. Malta 31/3/1906 to 16/1/1906, died Cottonera Military Hospital Malta, 17/1/1906 buried in Rinella Cemetery. Note from medical record: Very nervous when spoken to, unable to concentrate on work, very forgetful. Has twice been under observation for insanity but is not in my opinion mad. His widow Elizabeth received £1.00.06 d Record of deceased soldiers effects.
