One British military policeman had died, and six others are seriously injured, as a result of a grenade throwing incident in Alexandria late on Saturday night, and the ensuing attack on them by a crowd of Egyptians.

CROWD'S MISTAKE. a crowd of Egyptians, thinking they had thrown the grenade3s, pursued them, throwing stones and other missiles. The crowd are stated to have seized two of the policemen bleeding from wounds sustained when the grenades exploded and dragged them to a nearby police station, beating them on the way.
Medical evidence reveals, says a Alexandria Reuters message, that the policeman who has died succumbed to injuries received through beating by the crowd rather than from grenade wounds.
The policemen were unarmed at the time, it is stated. THET TO TREATY.
