Decoration: US Bronze Star (London Gazette: 37909 Page: 1313 March 20, 1947)
Citation: North West Europe. Citation for US Bronze Star: RSM GLENISTER has served with and been the mainstay of his Coy for nearly five years of war. Landed in Normandy on D + 2, he at once more than filled his rightful place as a leader in organisation, discipline and personal example. Throughout the active campaign in France, Belgium and Holland he maintained a hight standard of operational efficiency and, when more static duty - though still in face of the enemy - followed, it was often his example which prevented any slump. This WO has distinguished himself throughout by most meritorious service, not involving participation in aerial flight, and has always achieved his correct postion as the right hand man of his Company Commander. In fact it can truly be said that a great deal of the Provost Company's success was due to his unfailing cheerfulness, strict and just discipline, and powers of organisation and improvisationOC 102 Pro Coy.
