| Citation: | North West Europe. Citation for BEM: During the period under review, this NCO has shown exceptional ability and devotion to duty. He has never spared himself, and his drive, energy, and integrity have been a fine example to all with whom he has come into contact. He has accomplished far more than would normally be expected in the routine of a Divisional Provost Company. This NCO has maintained this very high standard over a period of active service in Africa, Italy, and throughout the campaign in N W Europe, and by his cheerfulness and example under the most trying conditions has had the greatest effect on all the Company.
