| Citation: | BEF. Citation for MID: This N.C.O. was outstanding for his coolness and devition to duty under heavy bombing and shelling. During the withdrawl period he was engaged with his Section on detached traffic control and other special duties and by his ability, courage and fine example contributed greatly to the successful withdrawal of B.E.F. troops. During three days and nights at BRAY DUNES he worked unceasingly and later at DUNKIRK he remained in charge of the last M.P. Section to embark for England being employed in embarkation duties on the Mole until ordered to embark in the small hours of Sunday, 2nd June, 1940.Recommended for Military Medal, awarded MID.Major P.
