He returned from Dunkirk and was on the gate of Frome Market which was a reporting centre for 3 Division when a coach carrying troops crushed him against a wall, he died a few days later. (Info Tyler, card index). Casualty List 241, Home, Died as a result of an accident, 8/6/1940. Medal card not found. Inscription on gravestone:- T'is sad but true, we know not why, the best are always the first to diel. Harry George Sweet. |
