War Diary WO 169/13258, 115 Pro Coy. 18/9/1943 Provost HQ at grid ref N 738272, No. 7687199 Cpl Partridge A W AND No. 961373 L/Cpl Taylor R proceeding to HQ to join detachments at Salerno, came under heavy enemy shelling in Salerno. Both NCO's severely injured and taken to hospital, feared little recovery for either. 23/9/1943 notification received that Cpl Partridge has died of his injuries and L/Cpl Taylor evacuated to North Africa and struck off strength.
