Domestic troubles were the causer of L/Cpl Walter Herbert Parsons, aged 41, of the Corps of Military Police taking his life, it was stated at the inquest conducted by the Wiltshire Coroner at Amesbury Police Station yesterday. He had tried to get permission to leave the Army in order to patch things up, but had failed to do so. Parsons was found on November 10th in a coroner on Landford Wood on the Southampton road with a bullet wound through his head and a service revolver lying by his side. He had been dead about a week.
