Sergt Robert Esrkine, who was detective constable at Bellshill for the past two years has been promoted to Lanark where he has taken up his new duties. Sergeant Erskine, a native of Lochwinnock, came to Bellshill in January 1949, from Bishopbriggs. He joined the Lanarkshire Constabulary in 1936, and served our years 1943 - 7, in the Army attached to the special investigation branch of the Royal Military Police in Glasgow and Berlin. His is married and has a boy of nine. |
