After having survived the almost daily bombing of Malta during the past three years. Lance Corporal James Henry Humphreys (42) Corps of Military Police of Rodney Street, Mossley, is officially reported to have been killed in a road accident in Malta on November 22. Lance Corporal Humphreys fought in the last war as a Lance Sergeant in the South Lancashire Regiment.
