More than two years afterwards Mr and Mrs A Henderson, Hillhead, Cialt, have received news that their son, Cpl J Henderson, Corps of Military Police had died in a Japanese prisoner of war camp. He was captured in 1942 and died from beri-beri in Thailand on July 28, 1943. Cpl Henderson who was a farm servant in the Cialt district was in the Gordon Highlanders before transferring to the Corps of Military Police. |
