Citation: | CMP(I). Italy. Citation for BEM: During the period Sept - Dec 44 8 Ind Div Provost Coy has been operating under the most adverse conditions of weather in the Apennines. Mountainous and narrow roads have necessitated detachments of the Coy being widely separated making the problem of supply and administration an exceedingly difficult one. Throughout the whole period CQMS DENYER has never spared himself in carrying out his duties with the greatest efficiency and enthusiasm. He has constantly undertaken the long and difficult journeys often at nigh necessary to bring up stores to all detacments over some of the worst roads the Division has encoutered. His task has been further complicated by the fact that the Provost Coy consists of British and Mixed Indian personnel of different castes. But in spite of these difficulties CQMS DENYER has by his untiring efforts ensured the regular arrival of all rations and necessary replacements of clothing and equimpment. His cheerfulness and willingness have been an inspiration to all members of the Provost Coy.Capt C Baines OC 8 Ind Div Pro Coy. Maj Gen D Russell Comd 8 Ind Div.
