Citation: Citation for Dutch Medal of the Order of Oranje Nassau. SGT HUDSON, who joined 15 (S) Inf Div in the latter half of 1942, served with the DIVISIONAL PROVOST COMPANY since the landing in NORMANDY and during the subsequent advance through FRANCE, BELGIUM and HOLLAND. As NCO in command of a section, placed in support of one of the leading Brigades, SGT HUDSON, often under shell fire, performed outstanding work in controlling traffic and signing of routes, greatly facilitating the advance of the Brigade in actions which contributed to the eventual captures of LEISEL, MEIJEL and BLERICK. This NCO's sence of duty, which precluded thought of self, his cheerful determination to complete and make a success of any task which he was called upon to perform, however arduous was not only an example but also an inspiration to his NCO's, and to all troops with whom he came into contact.
