Citation: North West Europe. Citation for US Bronze Star: Sgt. James Larkin, CMP, had distinguished himself by meritorious service (not involving participation in aerial flight) during the campaign in North West Europe. This NCO has been in charge of the British Section of the US Army Detention Barracks, Paris, during the period November 1944 until 8 May 1945. He has worked directly under the Prison Commandant (US Army), who has frequently commended him for his co-operation and hard work under circumstances which at times have been far from easy. His tact and ability have proved of inestimable value to both allied forces at all times.
