Citation for BEM: During the period under review, 16 May to 15 Aug, this NCO has carried out the duties of AFRICAN CSM to the Divisional Provost Coy: During this period the Provost Coy; has been fully employed on policing and controlling the moves of the Division and maintaining good relationship with the civilians. By this NCO's personal example and leadership he has gained the respect and confidence of all ranks and was largely responsible in maintaining a high level of morale which has enabled this company to carry out its many tasks. Throughtout the operations in the KABAW VALLEY this NCO showed initiative and devotion to duty which encouraged all AFRICAN ranks to carry out their many duties under trying circumstances.
