The feeding of sixty hungry, fierce dogs is the job of Sergt. Arthur Percy, whose home is 11 Bedwin Street, Salisbury, writes a Military Observer in East Africa. Arthur is in charge of the canine catering department No. 3 Dog Company, Royal Military Police, and is stationed on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa where the dogs guard Military Installations, To do this kind of work successfully requires a genuine liking for dogs, and this Arthur possesses so much that he spends most of his spare time training dogs for friends and any dog that has been through his hands has perfect manners, and is strictly obedient. Sergeant Percy joined the army in 1915 and served in the Wiltshire Regiment, Machine Gun Corps and the KOSB. Retiring in 1937. Re joining in 1939 he entered the Military Mounted Police and when the Corps was disbanded a year ago, he transferred to the Dog Company and came from Egypt to East Africa.
