The Major of Harrogate and other representatives of the town gave a civic aspect to an interesting military ceremony on the Harrogate Stray on Saturday, when public honour was done two Harrogate men by the presentation of war medals. The recipients were Corporal E D P Hardy, Military Mounted Police who received the Meritorious Service Medal, and Private Trowsdale of the 5th West Yorkshires, who was presented with the Military Medal. The presentation was made by Brigadier General H H Butler, who heartily congratulated them on the awards. |
