Citation: | 78842 Capt Stephen Hunter Cosh, Royal Scots Fusiliers, OC 62 Coy, (TC), CMP.Citation: This Officer has commanded his unit since landing in Normandy and was responsible for Traffic Control and signposting of the Army Road-head from the first break-out. During the advance he was severely tested because of the rapidity of the move and the number of Army Road-heads or Cushions for which arrangements had to be made. The work of his unit was of a very high order and this officer, by his drive and determination, largely contributed to the speed at which new Road-heads were established. He has commanded his unit with outstanding success in all departments, and by his personal example of devotion to duty has inspired all ranks under his command.Recommended by Capt A B Cooper, DAPM, HQ 2 Army Troops, Brigadier Commanding Second Army Troops and Lt/Gen Commander, 2 Army. |
