| Notes: | Provost Officer. General List. 1/7/1941 with "H" Traffic Control Group, Perth, Scotland. War Diary WO 166/5850 "H" Group (TC) 7/3/41, Visit from Capt Byard, I Branch, Scottish Command at 10.00 hrs. He informs me there is some doubts as to the behaviour of newly joined Lt. Hetherington (joined 10/2/41). Apparently as a civilian (parson) he was reported by many units and undoubtedly had knowledge of many military facts that the ought not to have. however they cannot really pin anything on him. CO suggested he might be transferred to Infantry, if he is doubtful, where he could be watched and would not have access to secret knowledge which is unavoidable in this unit. 12/11/41 2/Lt A J de B P Hetherington (173174) resigned his commission.
