Notes: | CMP/RMP. 6/6/1946 enlisted in CMP and served in Canterbury and Sennelager, Germany. Did duty at the British Military Court held in No1 War Crimes Court at the Curio Haus, Hamburg for the war crime trial for the Stalag Luft III, Sagan murders, the Great Escape when 50 RAF escapees out of 76 were murdered by the Gestapo. 13 were hanged in Hameln prison in February 1948. He enlisted 6/6/1946 and transferred from the General Service Corps Depot to RMP Training Centre, Gatton Park 18/7/46. 24/10/46 posted to 48 Division, 5/11/46 posted to 192 Pro Coy, 17/4/47 posted to D & TE RMP, 4/5/1946 returned to BAOR, 25/5/47 to 247 Pro Coy, Berlin, 7/2/48 to X list, 17/2/48 to 247 Pro Coy, 5/3/48 to 103 Pro Coy, 10/7/48 discharged. |
