Mr and Mrs W Collier, formerly Chelsea residents, and now of 123 Wimbledon Park Road, Southfields, have been notified by the War Office that their son, Sergeant William Collier, of the Military Police is a prisoner of war in Japanese hands. He had been missing since the Japanese invasion of Malaya in February 1942. They also received news about the same time that their youngest son, Sergeant Pat Collier, RAF received his pilot's wings while serving in Southern Rhodesia.
Both young men were born in Chelsea. Their parents formerly lived for many years at 477 King's Road, Chelsea. Both their sons were educated at Park Walk School, Chelsea, and enlisted at the outbreak of war.
