His wife Susanna died 13/12/1915, age 42 years, at 102 Hindmarsh Road, East Dulwich. 17/2/1919 he was awarded £2 on the Crystal Palace Demobilization Acquittance Roll. 5/11/1942 he died age 73 years at Bayfold Lodge, Stoke Frisel Road, Wincanton, Somerset from coronary thrombosis and angina.
