Repatriated and posted Y List (Hosp) 5/2/45. 36-45 CMP Reco. Discharged para 390 (xvi) K R (no longer physically fit for war service) on 14/1/46 V/48. He would have been captured at St Valery, France with the BEF in 1940.

Corporal Robert Duncan, Corps of Military Police, whose wife resides at 18 Cromlix Road, Friarton, Perth is to be repatriated from Germany according to information received by Mrs Duncan from the War Officer. A member of the CMP attached to the 51st Highland Division, Cpl Duncan was taken prisoner in June 1940. Before the war he was employed as a driver with Gilmour contractors. His mother resides at 29 Commercial Street, Perth. The War Office intimation states that the repatriated prisoners are expected to arrive in this country early next month.
