Citation: Italy. Citation for MBE: For outstanding ability and devotion to duty. This officer took over command of the company in February 1945, having previously been 2 I/c. At all times he has kept the men under his command at the highest pitch of efficiency, by his energy, enthusiasm and example. During the move from the mountains to the Po Valley and again from the Senio River to Trieste, it was due to his untiring work and efficient organisation that a smooth flow of traffic was ensured and that the moves were completed quickly and with complete success.
