| Citation: | Citation: Colonel Howard for meritorious service as Provost Marshal, United Kingdom Base, Communications Zone, European Theatre of Operations, from 9 April 1945 to 9 June 1945. Colonel HOWARD assumed the duties of Provost Marshal at a time when it was necessary to maintain military police patrols over large areas with a minimum of personnel.
