| Citation: | El Aroussa, North AfricaThis NCO on the 27th January 1943 was near EL AROUSA and on hearing that an unexploded bomb was impeding traffic on the road half a mile east of the town, he hastened to the scene. On arrival he saw the fins of the bomb protruding from the ground and personally withdrew the bomb and removed it to a safe place, thus allowing the traffic on the route to resume.Awarded the GOC 1st Army Certificate for gallant conduct.
