On the placid water of the Worther See, famous Austrian beauty spot where the Duke of Windsor is reputed to have stayed, members of the corps of Militry Police are manning a lake water patrol and enjoying every minute of their novel "tour of duty." Among them is Cpl Greville Dunnett of 5 Westbrook road, Margate. The Worther See, a lake 14 miles long ant two miles across at its widest point is perfectly suited for boating, fishing, swimming, surfing, diving and sailing. The amphibious policing of the Worther See has proved not only a very necessary innovation to the interest of all ranks who enjoy the lake's many recreational facilities but has enabled members of the CMP to enjoy well merited relaxation from their normally arduous duties. The Provost engaged in the job rendered faithful services throughout the Italian campaign, particularly from the crossing of the Senio river until the surrender of Germany. At that time the military policeman were delighted to find themselves serving in British occupied Carinthia, one of the lovliest parts of Austria.
