| Citation: | Italy. Citation for MBE.: This officer has been APM SIB at this HQ since last March when a Staff Officer SIB was first allowed on WE. The strength of the Branch has considerably increased during this period. By his outstanding initiative and organising abilities he has brought about a complete co-ordination of SIB effort throughout Italy and Sicily, and to a marked degree is personally responsible for the good feeling and co-operation which now exists between the SIB and other Branches of the Provost Service. By constant supervision and instruction he has put the administration of Special Investigation Sections on to a sound footing, and undoubtedly his enthusiasm and technical ability have been largely instrumental in the rounding up in recent months of the dangerous gangs of "Deserter Criminals" who were operating in Southern Italy and Sicily.Colonel Provost Marshal AAI.
