Citation: APM 30 Corps. Citation for MID: Lt-Col INNES performed the duties of APM 30 Corps from the start of the REICHSWALD battle in February 45 until the conclusion of hostilities on 8 May 1945. The battles which the Corps fought during this period depended very largely on the successful control of an immense volume of traffic. Lt-Col INNES was responsible for this control and his success was conspicuous. It was achieved only by the most marked devotion to duty and assumption of authority and responsibility not normally expected of an APM. In addition, he worked himself to a state of exhaustion and continually placed himself in positions of danger far forward in the battle area.Lieut-Gen G G Horrocks Comd 30 Corps Dist.
