| Citation: | North West Europe. Citation for the MBE: This offr was 2 IC No 4 Cdn Pro Coy from 31 Jul 43, until he assumed Comd on 16 Jul 44. During that time he showed remarkable ability, initiative and drive, and the manner in which he assisted the Coy Comd was most notable. During the days of preparation for the assault, his keenness, example and exceptional hard work greatly assisted the Coy Comd in putting into the field an efficient, well equipped team of very high morale. Since "D" Day this offr's devotion to duty has been remarkable and, since assuming Comd of the Coy on 16 Jul 44, it has been he who, as the example and leader, has been responsible for many fine tasks performed by the Coy and the maintenance of its morale. This offr, too, through his ingenuity and forethought, has introduced many ideas into the Pro Service which have very definitely improved the standard of route signing and general infm available to tps on the rds.Maj W G Lloyd APM 3Cdn Inf Div.
