Citation: | North West Europe. Citation for the OBE: Lieut-Colonel DRAKE, As DPM Second Army, has had a task to perform of peculiar difficulty from the beginning of the operation. It was largely due to his tireless efforts and patient skill that the acute traffic problems in a constricted bridgehead did not strangle the progress of operations. Later, he has contrived, with limited resources, to maintain the flow of vehicles along an ever-extending L of C. His own qualities of unselfinshness, tact and high sense of duty have been an example for all ranks of the CMP. His work has been outstanding throughout the campaign.Brig AQ Second Army.
